Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Solaris. A local user can cause denial of service conditions.

A local user can exploit flaws in the Solaris DTrace (dtrace(1M)) ioctl(2) handlers to trigger a system panic.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix:

SPARC Platform

* OpenSolaris based upon builds snv_114 or later

x86 Platform

* OpenSolaris based upon builds snv_114 or later

Sun is working on a fix for Solaris 10.
