Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Symantec BackupExec System Recovery. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can execute arbitrary code on the target system with System level privileges.

The vulnerability resides in a third party device driver ('GEARAspiWDM.Sys' from Gear Software) that is distributed with this product.

Norton 360, Norton Ghost, Norton Save and Restore, and Symantec LiveState Recovery are also affected.

Symantec Ghost Solution Suite, Norton Internet Security, and Norton AntiVirus are not affected.
