Description:   A vulnerability was reported in VMware vCenter Server Appliance. A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.

A local user with low privileges can exploit a flaw in the 'showlog' plugin to gain root privileges on the target appliance base operating system.

Impact:   A local user can obtain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   VMware has issued a fix (vCSA 6.5 U1d).
