Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Internet Explorer. A local user can bypass security restrictions.

A local user can run a specially crafted application to bypass Device Guard User Mode Code Integrity (UMCI) policies to run unsigned code on the target system.

[Editor's note: The vendor indicates that this can be exploited via a malicious website, but the vendor's CVSS score indicates that the attack vector is local.]

Matt Nelson (@enigma0x3) of SpecterOps and Oddvar Moe (@oddvarmoe) working for Advania AS reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can bypass UMCI policies on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
