Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Windows Input Method Editor (IME). A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can run a specially crafted application that instantiates a DCOM class and exploits a parameter handling bug in Windows IME to execute arbitrary code on the target system with elevated privileges.

Systems with IME enabled or disabled are affected.

Microsoft Office Security Team reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
