Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Windows Kerberos. A remote authenticated user can bypass security restrictions.

A remote authenticated user that can conduct a man-in-the-middle attack can modify the SNAME field during ticket exchange to bypass Extended Protection for Authentication controls on the target system.

Nico Williams (@cryptonector) of Two Sigma Investments, Jeffrey Eric Altman (@jaltman) of AuriStor, Inc., and Viktor Dukhovni (@vdukhovni) of Two Sigma Investments reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can bypass Extended Protection for Authentication controls on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
