Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Internet Explorer. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger an object memory handling error in the JavaScript engine and execute arbitrary code on the target user's system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

This vulnerability can also be exploited via an embedded ActiveX control marked "safe for initialization" in an application or Microsoft Office document.

Hung Tien Tran @hungtt28 of Viettel Cyber Security reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.

A restart is required.

On August 8, 2017, Microsoft updated their bulletin to announce that they issued a revised fix for IE 11 on Windows 8.1, 8.1 RT, 2012 R2, 10, 10 Version 1511, 10 Version 1607, and 10 Version 1703 as part of the August 2017 security updates to fully correct the vulnerability.
