Description:   A vulnerability was reported in BIND. A remote user can cause the target service to crash.

A remote user can supply a specially crafted query to trigger a processing error in 'rdataset.c' and cause the target service to crash.

Systems configured for NXDOMAIN redirection using the "nxdomain-redirect" option are affected.

The BIND 9 Supported Preview Edition is affected.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target service to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (BIND 9 Supported Preview Edition version 9.9.8-S5).
