Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Squid. A remote user can bypass security controls.

The system does not properly handle CONNECT method peer responses. A remote user can exploit this to bypass security controls in an explicit gateway proxy and gain access to the backend proxy.

Systems configured with cache_peer and operating on explicit proxy traffic are affected.

Alex Rousskov, The Measurement Factory, reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can bypass security controls.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (3.5.6).
