Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Windows IPv6 Stack. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send specially crafted IPv6 router advertisement packets via a target subnet to cause systems on the target subnet to stop responding.

Impact:   A remote user can cause systems on the target subnet to stop responding.
Solution:   The vendor has issued the following fixes:

Windows 8 for 32-bit Systems:

Windows 8 for x64-based Systems:

Windows Server 2012:

Windows Server 2012 (Server Core installation option):

A restart is required.
