Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Pango. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted font file that, when loaded by the target user or application, will trigger a heap overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user or application.

The vulnerability resides in pango_ft2_font_render_box_glyph() in 'pango/pangoft2-render.c'.

Impact:   A remote user can create a font file that, when loaded by the target user or application, will execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a source code fix, available via git.
