Description:
A vulnerability was reported in SAP NetWeaver Business Client. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will invoke the SapThemeRepository ActiveX control (sapwdpcd.dll) and trigger a buffer overflow to execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
The Load and LoadTheme methods are affected.
The vendor was notified on September 30, 2010.
Alexandr Polyakov and Alexey Sintsov from Digital Security Research Group reported this vulnerability via TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative.
