Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Informix Dynamic Server. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.
A remote user can a send specially crafted password value via a JDBC connection to trigger a memory corruption error and cause an assertion failure or cause the target service to crash.
A password that is more than 512 bytes length can trigger the flaw.

A remote user can cause the target service to crash.

Solution:
The vendor has issued a fix (APAR IC61195; 10.00.xC11, 11.10.xC4, 11.50.xC5).
