Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Sophos Anti-Virus. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can create a specially crafted CAB archive that, when scanned by the target anti-virus application, will cause the target application to crash.

The Oulu University Secure Programming Group reported this vulnerability.

Solution:   The vendor has issued the following fixes (containing the fixed virus engine version 2.82.1):

* Sophos Anti-Virus for Linux 6.4.5

* Sophos Anti-Virus for Unix and Netware 4.37.0
