Description:   A vulnerability was reported in F-Secure Anti-Virus. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted RPM compressed archive file that, when scanned by the target application, will trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Systems with the antivirus software configured to scan inside compressed archives are affected.

Tamas Feher of 2F 2000 Kft., Hungary reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
