Description:   A vulnerability was reported in HP-UX running SLSd. A remote user can gain root access on the target system.

A remote user can exploit SLSd to create arbitrary files and gain root access.

HP credits iDefense with reporting this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create files on the target system to gain root privileges.
Solution:   The vendor advises users to disable SLSd:

1. Run "/sbin/init.d/slsd stop".
2. Edit /etc/rc.config.d/slsd and set "SLSD_DAEMON=0"
