Description:   A vulnerability was reported in libpng. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted PNG file that, when processed by the target application, will trigger a buffer overflow in png_convert_to_rfc1123() and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target application.

The specific impact depends on the application that uses libpng.

Impact:   A remote user can create a file that, when processed by the target application, will execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (1.0.64, 1.2.54, 1.4.17) [in November 2015].
