Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco TelePresence ISDN Gateway. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send a specially crafted ISDN Q.931 STATUS message to cause the target D-channel to drop, terminating existing calls and preventing new calls.

A software reload is required to return the system to normal operations.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCui50360 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause existing calls to drop and prevent new calls from being established.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (ISDN Gateway Software 2.2(1.92)).

Cisco TelePresence ISDN Gateway contains a vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger the drop of the data channel (D-channel) causing all calls to be terminated and preventing users from making new calls.

Cisco has released free software updates that address this vulnerability. No workarounds that mitigate this vulnerability are available. This advisory is available at the following link:
