Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Samba. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote guest user or a remote authenticated user can send specially crafted data to the target smbd server to cause the CPU to enter a continuous loop while allocating memory. This will prevent any further SMB service.

Jeremy Allison of Google reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the SMB server to become unavailable.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (3.5.22, 3.6.17, 4.0.8).
