Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco Nexus 7000. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send specially crafted data to cause the target service to crash.

Systems with a higher-density line-card replaced in the same slot by a lower-density card and with the management station continuing to try and poll the non-existent higher ports are affected.

Cisco has a Cisco Bug ID CSCud44300 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can consume excessive memory and system resources on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
