Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in IBM Tivoli Change and Configuration Management Database. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting and cross-site request forgery attacks. A remote user can inject SQL commands. A remote authenticated user can obtain potentially sensitive information.

A remote user can send specially crafted data to consume excessive memory resources on the target system [CVE-2011-1394].

The Labor Reporting page does not properly validate user-supplied input [CVE-2011-1397]. A remote user can create a specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by a target authenticated user, will cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will be able to take actions on the site acting as the target user.

The Start Center Layout and Configuration does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input [CVE-2012-0195]. A remote user can create a specially crafted URL that, when loaded by a target user, will cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the IBM Tivoli Change and Configuration Management Database software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

The KPI component does not properly validate user-supplied input [CVE-2011-4816]. A remote user can supply a specially crafted parameter value to execute SQL commands on the underlying database.

A remote authenticated user can obtain potentially sensitive information via the Help menu About option [CVE-2011-4817].

Impact:   A remote user can consume excessive memory resources on the target system.

A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site running the IBM Tivoli Change and Configuration Management Database software, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A remote user can execute SQL commands on the underlying database.

A remote authenticated user can obtain potentially sensitive information.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (APARs IV09157, IV09193, IV09194, IV09197, IV09198).
