Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Trend Micro InterScan Web Security. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
The 'patchCmd' binary has set user id (setuid) root permissions and executes two shell scripts ("./PatchExe.sh" and "./RollbackExe.sh") without specifying their absolute path. A local user can create a specially crafted script and cause 'patchCmd' to execute the script with root privileges.
The vendor was notified on June 26, 2011.
