Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in McAfee SaaS Endpoint Protection. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will invoke the 'MyAsUtil5.2.0.603.dll' control, bypass the domain execution control policy using a cross-site scripting technique, and use MyASUtil.InstallInfo.RunUserProgram() to execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will invoke the 'myCIOScn.dll' control to write to arbitrary files on the target system. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

The vendor was notified on January 24, 2011.

Jonathan Andersson, TippingPoint DVLabs, reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (Endpoint Protection 5.2.2).
