Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Glibc. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
The previous fix for CVE-2010-3847 [Alert ID 1024619] introduces a regression in the expansion of the $ORIGIN dynamic string token specified in the RPATH and RUNPATH entries in the ELF library header. A local user can exploit this to cause a set user id (setuid) or set group id (setgid) program to execute arbitrary commands with elevated privileges.
