Description:
A vulnerability was reported in the Microsoft License Logging Service. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
A remote user can send a specially crafted RPC message to the License Logging Server to trigger a heap overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target service.
The vendor was notified on June 15, 2009.
Cody Pierce of TippingPoint DVLabs reported this vulnerability.
