Description:
Several vulnerabilities were reported in Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) in the processing of image files and fonts. A remote user can read/write files and execute applications on the target user's system.
A remote user can create a specially crafted GIF image file or other image file or font that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a buffer overflow to read and write local files or execute applications on the target system with the privileges of the target user.
An anonymous researcher reported one vulnerability via TippingPoint. Sebastian Apelt reported another vulnerability via iDefense. regenrecht reported another vulnerability via iDefense.
