Microsoft Visio Bugs Let Remote Users Execute Arbitrary Code

Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Microsoft Visio. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted Visio file that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

Specially crafted object data can trigger a validation flaw and cause code execution [CVE-2009-0095].

Specially crafted object data can trigger a memory corruption flaw and cause code execution [CVE-2009-0096].

Specially crafted files can trigger a memory allocation error and cause code execution [CVE-2009-0097].

Microsoft Office Visio Viewer versions 2002, 2003, 2007, and 2007 SP1 are not affected.

Bing Liu of Fortinet's FortiGuard Global Security Research Team reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create a file that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued the following fixes:
