Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Asterisk. A remote user can make phone calls without authenticating.

A remote user can set a specially crafted 'From' header to make unauthenticated calls via the SIP channel driver.

The vendor was notified on March 12, 2008.

Jason Parker from Digium reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can make phone calls without authenticating.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (1.2.27, 1.4.18.1, 1.4.19-rc3), available at:
