Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Samba. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
A remote user can send specially crafted GETDC mailslot requests to trigger a buffer overflow in nmbd and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target service.
The vulnerability resides in the send_mailslot() function.
The system is affected if the "domain logons" parameter is enabled in the 'smb.conf' configuration file.
The vendor was notified on November 22, 2007.
