Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Mozilla Firefox when certain add-ons have been installed. A remote user can cause files on the target user's system to be loaded.
A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will exploit a flaw in the 'chrome:' URI scheme to load JavaScript, images, and stylesheets from known files on the target user's system. The system is affected only if add-ons that use "flat" packaging (instead of ".jar" packaging) have been used.
This vulnerability can be exploited to obtain the contents of the 'sessionstore.js' file, which includes session cookie data and other potentially sensitive information.
Gerry Eisenhaur and moz_bug_r_a4 reported this vulnerability.
