Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Qt. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create specially crafted text that, when parsed by the target user with Qt, will trigger a format string error and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
Qt 4 is not affected.
The vendor credits Tim Brown of Portcullis Computer Security Ltd and Dirk Mueller of KDE with reporting this vulnerability.
