Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Eudora WorldMail Mail Management Server. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted data delimiters to TCP port 106 on the target system to trigger a heap overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target service (MAILMA.exe).

The vendor was notified on September 15, 2006.

Leon Juranic of INFIGO IS discovered this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   No solution was available at the time of this entry.

The vendor does not plan to issue a fix. As a workaround, administrators can block access to the affected port from untrusted sources.
