Description:
A vulnerability was reported in Turbo Searcher. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create a specially crafted ARJ archive. If the "Quick Search" option is disabled and the "Search in compressed file" option is enabled when the target user searches in a directory that contains the archive, a buffer overflow will occur and arbitrary code will be executed. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
The buffer overflow resides in the 'arj.dll' plugin component, from 7-Zip. The underlying vulnerability was previously reported in CVE-2005-3051.
The vendor was notified on July 24, 2006.
