Description:
A vulnerability was reported in IPsec-Tools. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.
The Internet Key Exchange version 1 (IKEv1) implementation does not properly process IKE packets when in aggressive mode. A remote user can send specially crafted IKE packets to trigger a null pointer dereference and cause the IKE service to crash.
The flaw resides in 'isakmp_agg.c'.
A test suite developed by the University of Oulu Secure Programming Group (OUSPG) was used to discover these vulnerabilities.

Solution:
The vendor has issued a source code fix, available via CVS:
