Fix Available:  Yes  Vendor Confirmed:  Yes
Version(s): BIND 8.4.2 and prior versions; part of HP TCP/IP V5.1 for HP OpenVMS Alpha and VAX and HP TCP/IP V5.3 for HP OpenVMS VAX only
Description:   A vulnerability was reported in BIND 8. A remote user can introduce invalid DNS records to cause denial of service conditions.

Solution:   HP has released the following resolution files. HP plans to include the solution in a future ECO kit for HP TCP/IP V5.1 for HP OpenVMS Alpha/VAX and V5.3 for HP OpenVMS VAX.

The resolution files are:

TCPIP$BIND_SERVER.EXE_ECO_I_V_V51
TCPIP$BIND_SERVER.EXE_ECO_I_A_V51
TCPIP$BIND_SERVER.EXE_ECO_G_V_V53
