Description:  A vulnerability was reported in LibTIFF. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can create a specially crafted file that, when loaded by the target application, will trigger a buffer underflow in LZWDecodeCompat() and cause the application to crash.

The vulnerability resides in 'tif_lzw.c'.

Code execution was not confirmed in the report.

Impact:  A remote user can cause the target application to crash.
Solution:  The vendor has issued a source code fix, available via CVS.
