Description: A vulnerability was reported in Asterisk. A remote user can initiate denial of service attacks via the target system.
A remote user can send a spoofed IAX2 PWDOWNL request to the target system to cause the target system to respond to the spoofed system.
A 40 byte PWDOWNL request can result in a 1040 byte response. This can be exploited by a remote user to attack arbitrary systems
via the target system.
The vendor was notified on July 18, 2008.
