Description: A vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Word. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.
A remote user can create a specially crafted Office file that, when loaded by the target user, will set a malformed object pointer
to corrupt system memory and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
Microsoft
Word 2002 and 2003 are affected. Office XP and Office 2003 are affected.
Microsoft indicates that Microsoft Word 2000 is not
affected. However, eEye Digital Security indicates that they have confirmed that Word 2000 is indeed vulnerable.
Word Viewer
2003 is not affected.
