Description:  A vulnerability was reported in the Windows SNMP service. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send specially crafted data to trigger a buffer overflow in the SNMP service and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target service.

The SNMP service is not installed by default.

Microsoft credits Kostya Kortchinsky of Immunity, Inc. and Clement Seguy of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company with reporting this vulnerability.

Impact:  A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:  The vendor has issued the following fixes:
