Description:  A vulnerability was reported in HP OpenView Select Access. A remote user may be able to gain access to restricted resources on the system.

HP reported that OpenView Select Access may not properly decode UTF-8 encoded Unicode characters in a URL. As a result, a remote user may be able to submit a specially crafted URL to gain unauthorized access to the system.

Impact:  A remote user may be able to gain access to restricted URLs.
Solution:  The vendor has released patches, available at:

A potential vulnerability has been identified with hp OpenView Select Access which could 
be exploited to allow a remote user unauthorized access.
SUPPORTED SOFTWARE VERSIONS*:  ONLY impacted versions are listed.
hp OpenView Select Access 5.0 Patch 4, 5.1 Patch 1, 5.2, and 6.0.
BACKGROUND:
Utf-8 encoded Unicode characters used in a URL may not be decoded correctly, allowing 
users  access to resources normally denied to them.
