Description:  A vulnerability was reported in Metadot Portal Server. A remote authenticated user can gain elevated privileges.

In early 2003, the vendor reported that a 'site manager' can execute a specially crafted CGI query to obtain admin privileges. No further details were provided.

Impact:  A remote authenticated user with 'site manager' privileges can gain administrative privleges on the target system.
Solution:  The vendor has issued a fixed version (5.5.2.1), available at:
